Hideo Irimajiri

I was born in 1956, graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design in 1979 with a bachelor's degree in acoustical design and from Kyushu Institute of Design in 1981 with a master's degree in acoustical design, and received a doctorate in design in 2013 for my research on reverberation.
In 1981, I joined Mainichi Broadcasting System, Inc. and moved to WOWOW in 2020.
In 1987, I was involved in the system development and mixing of the first high school baseball Dolby Surround broadcast project in the broadcasting industry.
I have been recording since I was a student, producing my first 4-channel surround sound work in 1980, and have been exploring spatial acoustics for the past half century.
Currently, I am working on the development of 3D audio production technology and its business development at WOWOW.
