Daniel Fox

Tufts University, Wondersmith Audio

Daniel Fox is a Lecturer at Tufts University and owner/engineer/consultant with Wondersmith Audio.
He teaches in Tufts' Music Engineering Program, a collaborative minor of the Mechanical Engineering and Music Departments. As a member of the Audio Engineering Society, he serves as Program Chair for the AES High School Audio Educators Conference and is a member of the AES Diversity & Inclusion committee. He sits on the Educational Advisory Board of the software manufacturer Sonarworks and is an expert level Propellerheads Reason user, Certified Avid Pro Tools Instructor and iZotope endorsee.

Daniel spent 17 years as the Director of Creative Media & Technology at ZUMIX, an award-winning youth arts non-proft in East Boston, MA. He was the A/V Project Manager for the buildout of ZUMIX’s LEED gold certified Firehouse facility.

As a consultant in audio and music technology education - Daniel helps to build all aspects of a successful program, from facilities and hardware/software, to curriculum, staffing, and training. Projects include: NEMPAC, Community Builders, Worcester State University, Girls Inc., Teen Empowerment, and Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center.

Audio Production clients include: Life is Good (Ringo Starr, Aly Raisman, Katie Couric), Audible.com, Pepsi, Discovery Channel, Debo Band (Sub Pop Records), Zach Sherwin (Warner Music/Comedy Central), and many independent artists.
