Ed Seay is a 35 year veteran recording engineer, mixer, producer and musician with much chart
success and platinum sales in Country, Pop, Jazz, Rock and R & B genres.
His audio career began in Atlanta, GA., engineering and/or producing pop artists including Paul
Davis, Melissa Manchester as well as R & B artists Peabo Bryson and Brick. Since moving to
Nashville, some of the well known major label artists he has worked with are Blake Shelton,
Martina McBride, Lee Brice, Garth Brooks, Pam Tillis, Collin Raye, Diane Schuur, Alison Krauss,
Ricky Skaggs, Russ Taff, Sandi Patty, The Beach Boys, Dolly Parton, Marie Osmond, Marc Jordan,
Hank Williams, Jr., John Prine, George Jones, and Merle Haggard. He has also tracked, recorded,
mixed and/or produced countless others over the course of his career.
Ed has seen the recording industry go through big changes from initially working in the 16 trackanalog
days and then continuing to hard disk recording when he adopted the Pro Tools format
early on. Beginning in 2001, Ed mixed Blake Shelton’s first three #1 records in Pro Tools…
Austin , The Baby, and Some Beach – the last two were mixed completely “in the box”.
Ed’s passion for music has always fueled his desire for recording excellence.
