Lurssen Mastering

Gavin Lurssen is the president and principal engineer at Lurssen Mastering. He is a twelve-time Grammy nominee and a four-time Grammy winner. Artists whose albums he has mastered include the Foo Fighters, Ben Harper, Queens of the Stone Age, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Eric Clapton, and Sara Bareilles, to name just a few. The soundtracks he has worked on include all the Game of Thrones episodes, Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Thor: Ragnarok, The Hunger Games and Westworld.



Gavin regularly leads and takes part in discussion panels throughout the United States and internationally through organizations like SXSW, The Recording Academy and AES.

Gavin has also been involved in work for "Sound Art" and "A Place Called Home", Los Angeles based programs involved in music education for at-risk youth and also with "MusiCares," which provides a safety net of critical assistance for music people in times of need.



Gavin is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston. He received a Distinguished Alumni award from the college and routinely participates with the college and their programs and in addition he has been a guest lecturer at the college.
