Gordon Reid was educated as an Astrophysicist at Leicester University and Cambridge University and for the past 26 years has been the Managing Director of CEDAR Audio Ltd. He has presented numerous papers and workshops on the subjects of audio restoration, audio forensics, speech enhancement and surveillance, was the workshop co-chairman of the 39th AES International Conference on Audio Forensics, and was the Platinum Sponsor of the past three AES International Conferences on Audio Forensics. He has had around 500 articles published worldwide, and his series of sixty-three essays on synthesis and sound design are used worldwide as educational texts for university music technology courses. He is also an active musician. In 2018 he co-founded AudioTelligence Ltd, which develops Blind Source Separation technologies for a wide range of applications ranging from consumer products to advanced surveillance systems.
