Jacob Hollebon is a Postgraduate Research Student at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton. Jacob graduated from the University of Warwick in 2017 with a BSc in Physics. He then completed the MSc in Acoustical Engineering at the University of Southampton in 2018, with a thesis on spatial audio reproduction for multiple listeners. This work involved the design, build and assesment of a multiple listener crosstalk cancellation system using linear loudspeaker arrays, with application to a cinema. In 2018, he joined the Virtual Acoustics and Audio Engineering (VAAE) group to begin a PhD in novel 3D audio reproduction methods under the supervision of Dr. Filippo Maria Fazi and Dr. Keith Holland. Jacob’s current research interest focuses on 3D audio reproduction over loudspeaker arrays, with a particular focus in crosstalk cancellation and soundfield reproduction. Jacob is the holder of the 2018 ISVR Elsevier prize, as well as being supported by two grants from the AES Educational Foundation, where he is also the 2018 Emil Torick Scholar.
