Senior Mastering Engineer at AfterMaster Audio Labs and Co-Chair of the Recording and Production track of the AES Show Fall 2020. B.A. in Electronic Music Composition at SUNY Albany, studying there with icons like John Cage. Pursued parallel paths in both music and engineering in Boston - playing in studios, clubs, and Symphony Hall with the Boston Pops. Relocated to Los Angeles, initially hired as a technician, but quickly recognized as a talented recording engineer - Wally Heider’s, Sunset Sound, Capitol Studios 1983-1999 (Prince, Miles Davis, Marcus Miller, The Replacements, Bob Seger, Stray Cats, Steve Miller). After a stint with feature-film scoring at Sony Pictures (The Patriot, Toy Story ll, Black Hawk Down), returned to the music world, first at Universal Mastering Studios (Ray Charles, Marilyn Manson, John Waite, Toto) for 12 years, and now with AfterMaster Audio Labs as Senior Mastering Engineer ( Peter Erskine, Joe Perry, Sheléa). Past AES Los Angeles Section Executive Committee , NARAS P & E Wing Member. Emmy™ Award for Music in Television, numerous Grammy™ nominations and for Oscar™-winning feature films.
