Spencer Shafter is an audio engineer and educator originally hailing from Montana. After wrapping bachelor and masters degree in music and audio technology at New York University, Spencer began working with voices and ADR in post-production audio as a recordist, ADR mixer and diction coach. Spencer jumped on board with Hobo Audio in 2018 as an engineer and studio technician, expanding his work into commercial, film, and episodic TV with the Hobo team. While at Hobo, Spencer can be found either at the board editing our TV shows or underneath it connecting, soldering, wiring and routing to keep the studio flexible and ready for anything! Outside of Hobo Spencer teaches undergraduate and graduate courses at NYU, bringing real-world post audio concepts to the classroom.
