Steve Barnett: Record Producer
Steve Barnett is a multiple Grammy® and Gramophone award-winning record producer with over 175 internationally-distributed recordings to his credit. For 25 years he was music producer for Minnesota Public Radio’s Peabody award-winning classical performance program ”Saint Paul Sunday (Morning)“, broadcast both nationally and internationally. His production of “Songplay”, featuring mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato, received the Grammy® for best classical solo vocal album at the January 2020 awards program. Steve was Music Director/Arranger/Conductor for Garrison Keillor’s ”A Prairie Home Companion“, and for both public radio’s nationally broadcast variety programs, ”Good Evening“ and ”First House on the Right“. Steve’s compositions and arrangements have been performed and recorded by major orchestras and choruses in the United States, and in Europe and Asia.
