Out of a medical background, Thomas worked in Danish health care before heading pro development at TC Electronic, engaging also in audio standardisation. Thomas is author of a number of papers on perception and measurement. He is active in AES, EBU, SMPTE, ITU, WHO and CTA; and chairman of a working group under the European Commission, tasked with preventing recreational hearing loss. His current position is senior scientist at Genelec.
