Zachary Bresler is a PhD fellow in the Department of Popular Music at the University of Agder in Kristiansand, Norway. He is a musicologist, music producer, and percussionist, and his research is motivated by an obsession with surround and immersive audio format. While making music for these formats himself, Zachary studies the aesthetics of music production, the musicology of space and place, and the production of audiovisual popular music in new media.
